Members
Gary
Hamman – President
Mr. Hamman has
been a member of FBCP since 1994. He is currently serving as the
Secretary of the Board. Mr Hamman served on several boards of First
Baptist Church including Board of Finance, Board of Deacons, and
acted as Church Moderator. He is now a member of the Living Streams
Church. Mr Hamman’s professional experience is in electronics
engineering, specializing in radar, missile guidance, and antenna
designs.
Stan
Crews – Vice-President
Reverend Stan
Crews served as associate pastor at First Baptist Church of Phoenix
from 1979 until 1982. He left First Baptist to start a new church
in Tucson. He and his wife, Gayle, left Tucson in 1989 to become
missionaries in Mexico for 12 years; they then served on the staff
of International Ministries of the American Baptist Churches for 5
years. Stan spent the next 7 years as the pastor of the Monte Vista
Baptist Church in Phoenix, before retiring in 2012.
Sandy
Richmond – Secretary
Ms. Richmond is
the Foundation Secretary and Newsletter editor. She was a long time
member of First Baptist Church and is now a Member of Living
Streams Church.
Jeff
Sauter – Treasurer & ACF CFO
Mr. Sauter is
the Chief Financial Officer for the Arizona Community Foundation,
overseeing the Financial Services division including the finance,
accounting, information technology and human resources functions.
Mr. Sauter is an active Certified Public Accountant and earned his
master’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in
International Finance from UCLA’s Anderson School of Business. He
holds a bachelor's degree in Finance from Penn State
University.
Al
Longanecker – Vice-President, Grants
Mr Longanecker
and his family were actively involved in First Baptist from the
late 1960's. He served with the youth ministry and on various
boards and committees. He was the church treasurer for many
years. Mr Longanecker was engaged in the computer industry
throughout his business career with both US and Foreign
companies.
Bill
Beamon – President Emeritus
Mr Beamon is
past president of the First Baptist Church of Phoenix Foundation.
He and his family have lived in Arizona since 1966. He has spent
the last forty years in the financial services industry
specializing in financial and estate planning. He has also
performed significant work in business development planning. Mr
Beamon has a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree from California
Baptist Theological Seminary.
Cynthia
(Cindy) Darby
Reverend Cindy
Darby was raised at First Baptist of Church of Phoenix. She
was dedicated by her parents at the church when she was a baby and
later baptized and ordained at the church. She has worked at
Banner Health as a chaplain since 1999 serving at Banner Good
Samaritan Hospital (now Banner-University Medical Center Phoenix),
Banner Thunderbird Medical Center and Banner Hospice. She is
endorsed as an institutional chaplain through American Baptist
Churches USA. Since 2004, she has been supervising Banner
Hospice's Bereavement Program. She is also the current pastor
of Monte Vista Baptist Church in Phoenix, AZ.
Reinhard
Geissler
Mr. Geissler has
been member of the Foundation board since the transfer of ownership
in 2007. He was born in East Germany, behind the Iron Curtain, and
became a political refugee to the United States through his
sponsorship by First Baptist Church in Phoenix. From this support
it gave Mr Geissler a chance to pursue education and allowed him to
graduate with an MBA from Arizona State University. He has lived
and worked in half a dozen countries, typically in engineering and
business environments as well as in administrative positions within
Baptist organizations.
Thresa
K. Hickernell
Mrs.
Hickernell’s parents brought her to First Baptist Church of Phoenix
as an infant and shared with her the love of God at a very early
age. She continued her Christian education and learned about the
love of Jesus through many very dedicated Christians. She feels
this has prepared her to share His Love with others. She believes
she can help further the Foundation’s mission by providing the
Christian experiences which enriched her life.
Daniel
Riccio
Mr. Riccio
has a Bachelor of Business Administration in International
Business, with a Spanish emphasis from Grand Canyon University. He
is a field sales engineer with Linear Technology, with territory in
Arizona, New Mexico, Las Vegas and Nevada. He is currently serving
as a part of Living Streams Christian Church elder board and
attending classes at Fuller Theological Seminary.
Jenny
Gendreau
Mrs.
Gendreau began attending First Baptist Church of Phoenix as a young
child with her family. She was married in the church with Rev. Stan
Crews officiating the ceremony. During her career, she was a
classroom teacher and district coordinator for homeless and refugee
students. She is a faculty member for Grand Canyon University in
the College of Education. Mrs. Gendreau is currently an active
member of Christ Church of the Valley.
Raymond
Miller
Mr.
Miller was an attorney for 27 years, 21-1/2 of which were as
managing attorney for Hastings and Hastings. Presently, he is
working as a paralegal at McCarthy Law. He attends Antioch
Community Church in Chandler. He has served as an elder at
Bridgeway Community Church in Ahwatukee and as a substitute
teaching leader for the Men’s Bible Study Fellowship.
Tammy
Valdez
Mrs.
Valdez is a 20 year member of Living Streams Church, she is
President of Valdez Strategic Consulting, Inc. and has an MBA from
Chadwick University. She has worked with numerous start-up
companies, including LifeLock, and spent over 20 years in the
Financial Services Industry with Charles Schwab and Morgan Stanley
and has served on several boards. She is married to her soulmate
and is thankful for God’s faithfulness and is living for His
glory.
